Missions Update August 2019

We believe that missions is the heart of Jesus. We want to share what some of our network churches are doing on the mission field so we can keep fresh vision and present the opportunity for those who want to join in.

GlobalROAR GlobalROAR, a mission movement based out of Living Stones Church in Crown Point, IN, sent 30 people in June to the nation of Zambia, Mongolia, and Cambodia on mission trips. The purpose of these trips was to strengthen the churches planted by GlobalROAR in each of the countries, encourage the leadership teams, hold special meetings for the growth of the believers, and minister in theROAR training schools. The teams retired with a fresh vision for world missions and how they can play a part in it through praying, giving, and sending.

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA One of the Zambia trip highlights was the weekend Encounter GlobalROAR hosted. About 100 people attended, and many found new freedom in their lives, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and were challenged to “finish strong.” The team also held a marriage and a business seminar. They enjoyed their time of teaching and fellowshipping with the students in theirfirst ROAR school. They ended their trip at Victoria Falls, where the famous missionary, David Livingstone, ministered.

DARKHAN, MONGOLIA Ranging from 16 to 65 years of age, this team of 14 spent a strategic week with the believers in Darkhan. Several highlights from the trip included participating in theROAR's sixth graduation of 14 students, ministering to the youth, spending time with the leadership team, and teaching a seminar on discipleship.

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA Brent and Joslyn Burnett, elders at Living Stones, were sent out to be interim pastors for the summer at the Living Stones’ church plant and GlobalROAR base in Cambodia. While there, they are also coaching the team of eight long-term missionaries, doing pre-marital counseling, and teaching in theROAR school.

Living Hope Church In June, Living Hope Church, based out of Latrobe, PA, took a trip to Guatemala to support missionaries Wesley and Katie Sanchez. They sent 14 people to do evangelism and construction work.

“Guatemala was my first out-of-the-country mission trip. I’ve always had a heart for missions, and with Gods’ will and perfect timing, I was able to go on this life- changing trip. Our team visited numerous villages, sharing God’s Word and spreading the love of Jesus through women’s and children’s ministry. We assisted in the building and renovating of two churches. For me personally, God moved in many ways and I am more sure than ever that fear is a liar! No matter where you are, Gods Word, the love of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit conquer all. I cannot wait to go on my next mission trip!” –Jessica
